Nurse Practitioner

Corey Larson, NP, has worked primarily in psychiatric acute inpatient care of geriatrics, adolescent, and adult populations as well as residential behavioral boys at Highland Ridge Hospital. She also has extensive experience with substance abuse treatment centers and inpatient detox at Weber Recovery Center and Recovery Ways.

She has a passion for psychiatry, recognizing the need to incorporate therapeutic approaches to behavioral changes coupled with appropriate medication management to ensure the best patient outcomes. She has a unique ability to recognize the individualized physiological, cultural, communicational, and educational needs of her patients and believes this is better achieved through inclusion of the family and support systems. She has a genuine way of relating to people of all ages and backgrounds, gaining their confidence and helping them to achieve their goals. She is dedicated to staying up to date on best practices, supporting effective treatment for mental illness and helping clients reach their potential.

Corey obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Spanish at the University of Utah, completed her degree as a Registered Nurse at Salt Lake Community College, and continued with a Master’s Degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner through Simmons University in Boston.

In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, and enjoys camping, anything outdoors, and travel. You’ll often find her at a ball field, either playing softball herself or cheering on her son as his #1 fan.
