Meet Mel
Mel is committed to helping individuals navigate life's transitions with confidence and clarity. From divorce, dealing with the loss of a loved one or midlife challenges. Mel believes that healing old wounds and navigating change are necessary to finding meaning, purpose, and strength. Now, at her midlife, Mel's passion for helping others stems from her personal experiences, with 18 years of counseling and mental health experience from agencies and private practices, as well as 13 years in corporate settings. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Utah.

She has had the privilege of witnessing her clients' growth over the past 20 years. Her approach is evidence-based, eclectic and compassionate. Mel supports her clients as they heal while challenging them as necessary. She holds an EMDR certification and is a certified CPY 500 trauma-informed yoga therapist, utilizing proven therapeutic methodologies, such as Internal Family Systems Therapy and Somatic Psychotherapy/Polyvagal Theory.

Mel's clients can cultivate their self-worth and pursue fulfilling lives filled with meaningful relationships. Together, she helps clients identify patterns in their lives and whether they are helpful. She assists clients in uncovering any harmful assumptions and finding strategies for moving toward more empowering lifestyle choices.

Mel believes that everyone deserves to lead an enjoyable and satisfying life. Her clients will begin to experience inner strength, improved clarity, and a renewed purpose. As time passes, old wounds heal faster, unease dissipates quicker, and relationships between yourself and others improve.

In her free time, Mel adores Utah’s mountains, riding the backroads on a motorcycle, hanging out with her grandkids, and traveling.
